Associate Methodologist

The Associate Methodologist is a senior-level position within a healthcare market research agency for those with a minimum of five (5) years of advanced analytics in healthcare, consumer, or financial industries with expertise in statistics, advanced analytics, and methodological design. The Associate Methodologist plays a key role in advising client engagement teams on research design, addressing methodological challenges, leading the application of advanced analytics, and serving as a technical adviser to clients.

Key Responsibilities
The Associate Methodologist will contribute to research and client service initiatives, including:
•    Supporting the research team and clients on methodological issues with an emphasis on our proprietary modeling, forecasting, and simulations techniques.
•    Leading the application of proprietary techniques, particularly with regard to design and statistical analysis and interpretation of results.
•    Provide significant input into the development of new methodologies and research approaches to increase our portfolio of client solutions and further competitive advantage in the marketplace.
•    Consulting on research design, including the application of appropriate methods and the identification of appropriate sample frameworks.
•    Serving as methodological expert in the field, accompanying account teams to client meetings as appropriate and providing technical advice where needed.
•    Preparing and presenting material in conjunction with healthcare market research industry and company-sponsored events and publications.
•    Work closely with the Chief Marketing Scientist to establish expertise in all proprietary research methods and techniques

Qualifications
•    Five or more years in marketing research, preferably in the healthcare space, with specific expertise in methodological design and/or advanced analytics
•    M.S. in business, psychology, statistics, life sciences or other related field with a strong background in statistical analysis; preferably a Ph.D. 
•    Should have theoretical and applied understanding of: ANOVA, regression-based analyses, and trade-off approaches
•    Experience with Monte Carlo and hierarchical Bayesian analyses a plus
•    Expertise in Office applications, PowerPoint and Excel especially
•    Experience in Excel using VBA, Monte Carlo, and multi-worksheet models a plus
•    Experience using emerging data visualization tools a plus, as is any basic web development knowledge
•    High level of proficiency in SPSS and one or more leading data tabulation software packages (e.g., WinCross)
•    Openness to exploring new methods of analysis and their implementation
•    Proficiency in SAS a plus

This position reports to the Vice President, Chief Marketing Scientist
