Market researcher with significant research experience and established client base responsible for building a profitable research team.  Compensation focuses on competitive salary with performance driven bonus based on new business generation and individual, team and company performance.
Company is a virtual company, with employees throughout the U.S., so there is no geographic restriction for this job. Home office reimbursement provided. Headquarters are in Northern California,

Responsibilities include:  
•    Cultivating new business to grow client base, including:
o    Bringing in new clients that lead to expansion of client base.
o    Leveraging company's current and former clients to solicit RFPs and win projects.
•    Strategically leading research team on qualitative research projects, including a mix of managing and participating in:
o    Developing proposals for new and existing clients.
o    Creating discussion guides and creative exercises.
o    Moderating in-person and phone interviews/focus groups with a variety of respondents (primarily doctors and patients).
o    Analyzing research findings and interpreting the results to create insightful debriefs, reports and presentations.
o    Presenting results to clients.
•    Hiring, developing and managing other moderators, analysts and project managers.

This researcher could possibly be assigned some projects for existing clients; however, we expect that the candidate will primarily be expected to cultivate his/her own client base and generate the vast majority of projects on his/her own immediately upon employment.  Nonetheless, they will be expected to independently manage any assigned research projects from start to finish.

Required Skills & Experience:
•    Bachelor’s Degree required; additional credentials a plus.
•    15+ years of market research experience, preferably on the supplier side.
•    High level of expertise in strategic moderating and reporting in pharma/biotech.
•    Proven track record of winning, retaining and growing new business that can be quickly realizable within company's provided services.
•    Have existing client relationships that will be leveraged.  
•    Specialist in another industry or methodology a plus; for example:
  • o    Linguistic analysis, biometrics, eye tracking, metaphor analysis, social media, etc.
  • o    Expertise/client base in high tech, retail or other high-growth industry for market research.
•    Excellent verbal and written communications, including strong proficiency in PowerPoint.
•    Comfort/experience with quant research an important plus.
•    Positive, proactive attitude and demonstrated experience in client service.
•    Self-motivated and able to thrive in a work-from-home environment.
