The Research Director position is an excellent opportunity to join one of the leading specialist pharmaceutical global market research agencies.  Established in 1987, the Company has undergone a number of stage changes, which has resulted in it being seen as one of the most recognized and respected global market research providers to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.  The organization operates a highly flexible global business model which helps to ensure a high degree of client awareness internally and client services externally.  The company is an expert in ad-hoc market research, both qualitative and quantitative with particular expertise in brand-development research, and is solely active in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. 

This position will work remotely, preferably from NY, NJ, or PA.  Estimated US / EU travel for research is 20-25%.

The Research Director is a very interesting, challenging role working virtually in US with main focus to lead and deliver successful, insightful research projects for the accounts you are assigned to, resulting in repeat business from those clients and growing new business in assigned account base.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Promoting and creating a professional research environment that encourages repeat business focusing on accounts that will be allocated
  • Ensuring successful implementation of company research methodologies
  • Delivering high quality research projects when in the lead role
  • Effectively managing a team of researchers on projects
  • Advising and supporting Global Operations in the resourcing of all research projects
  • Contributing to the strategic and tactical direction of the Company
  • Delivering profitable projects

Experience Required:
 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a market research agency with time spent with a pharmaceutical focus
  • Client-side experience an advantage
  • New business development experience preferred
  • Moderating experience of IDIs and focus groups
  • An expert in ad-hoc qualitative techniques and strong knowledge of quantitative market research techniques
  • Multiple therapeutic experience; Oncology experience required
  • Team management and development experience
  • Ability to deliver high quality standards to clients
  • Strong knowledge of market research methodologies
  • A good understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Excellent project management and customer service skills
  • Excellent staff management skills
