Position Summary
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the market research needs of pharmaceutical and biotech products in various stages of the product life cycle.  Possesses strong analytic and communication skills, including superior writing ability. Expert in partnering with clients to find creative solutions to address key business issues.  Expands and nurtures existing client relationships, ensuring that clients feel heard, thought about and well cared for. Possesses strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory environment.  May have supervisory responsibilities for junior/mid-level project staff

Quantitative Research Skills
•    Proficient in the design of typical and advanced quantitative research studies (tracking studies, single-purpose questionnaires, DCM, pricing studies, etc.) with limited overview by senior staff, and with input as necessary from advanced methodologists consulting on the project
•    Writes screeners/questionnaires, including those for studies with advanced methodologies
•    Proficient in checking online questionnaires/data files for comprehension
•    Conduct pre-tests both in-person and over the phone with respondents
•    Conduct data analysis and provide direction on analysis/data manipulation to junior staff
•    Analyzes results and prepares visually compelling and clear summary reports with minimal guidance 
•    Demonstrates understanding of advanced methodologies, and works with Advanced Methodologies group on these analyses (discriminant, cluster, conjoint, perceptual mapping)
•    Develops conclusions and marketing implications with minimal or no guidance from senior staff

Client Interaction
•    Is seen as a consulting partner by clients, bringing both market research expertise and broad industry knowledge to client conversations
•    Presents research findings in an effective and engaging manner
•    Makes strategic recommendations that address the client’s key business questions, based on research results
•    Nurtures and expands existing client relationships
•    Participates actively in new business development

General
•    Able to work on and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
•    Able to take projects from RFP to completion with little to no guidance
•    Expected to work independently on most projects
•    Work effectively as a team member within a highly collaborative working environment particularly when involved in large projects that require collaboration
•    Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a high level of understanding of client research needs at all stages of drug life cycle (Phase 2 through Phase 4 clinical trials, pre-launch promotional development, in-line/mature products) 

Necessary Requirements for Consideration

•    Key Requirement: Has performed All aspects of quantitative market research from RFP creation/guide creation/client interface/analysis/report writing and presentation of report findings
•    Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a market researcher in the pharmaceutical industry for consideration at the Associate Director level
•    Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a market researcher in the pharmaceutical industry for consideration at the Senior Project Director level
•    Experience working on oncology custom studies preferred.
•    Bachelor’s Degree; advanced education preferred.
