Leading biotech company is seeking a PM for their Global Clinical Operations department.   Primary objective of the Sourcing Strategy PM is to deliver exceptional internal & external service, performance, and value in the business of sourcing with external providers (strategy, contracting, budgeting, oversight, and continuous improvement) that enables a framework for the teams to execute their programs and projects. 

Secondary objectives: 

• Establish a team that focuses on all elements of sourcing strategy (selection pool, scoring and evaluation tools, standardization of templates and process, commercial models, analytics to assess and improve the performance of service providers, external environment awareness) 
• Driving the two key Strategic Operating Models; Quintiles Partnership and Regional Clinical Operations (RCO) Model to full implementation, quality execution and evolution
• Evolve the contracting and budgeting team to one that is fit for purpose, can effectively measure its performance, and regularly implements learnings and improvement
• Drive a culture of cross-collaboration within R&D functional lines and business partners focused on eliminating redundancy and implementing operational excellence 
• Support the legacy GCO Alliance Management function to streamlines all aspects of Service Provider Management & Oversight (Governance, Change Management, Communication, etc.) to enable a consistent feel and the ability to feedback areas for improvement for internal and external customers 

Administrative Tasks: 30% / Department Project Coordination Support: 70% 

• Running the office, including maintaining communication with partners and customers from different levels of internal and external business and/or processing complaints
• Assisting line managers in researching and obtaining background information on partners and customers
• Arranging meetings, business trips and events requiring a high level of organization
• Under guidance from SPM management, compiling, preparing, presenting and interpreting data and reports with reference to different areas, including creating subject-specific documents, charts and presentations
• Collaborating with budget planning and management
• Ensuring the flow of information between all interfaces
• Assisting and informing different visitor groups on the respective area
• Advising line managers in operational HR matters; if necessary, in cooperation with the responsible HR experts
• Preparing documentation on human resources policy to serve as a decision-making basis for line managers 
• Assisting with complex work packages and tasks within projects including coordination of extensive projects


•    Degree in a scientific or medical or business discipline 
•    Fluent in spoken and written English

•    At least three (3) years of experience in supporting teams in drug development in pharmaceutical industry or CRO 

•    Strong relationship building skills 
•    Excellent communication skills 
•    In-depth knowledge of general business management 
•    Position may require extended hours beyond standard workday to accommodate meetings, etc.
•    Project management experience
•    Extensive knowledge of the job-related and area-specific software
•    Technical proficiency in MS Office applications and database search and reporting functions
